Great news in Dynamics! The new release of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite is scheduled for October 2018, with many new features, updates and tools for the business.
Below is an overview of some news for the most important modules of the Dynamics 365 suite:
Full functionality for creating and running multi-channel campaigns to generate sales team leads using simple drag-and-drop design tools.
Power BI dashboard integration for analysis campaigns and social media, with Microsoft’s offering and increased possibilities for customizing campaigns and managing social media.
AI-based scale and analysis productivity to improve collaboration between the various sales teams and greater integration with the Microsoft ecosystem.
Playbooks the new feature useful for automating repeatable sales activities and response to external events, so a strategy based on a repository of data related to reactive processes leads to a system of proactive and predictive records with events that can suggest the next best actions and refine relevant sales activities to successfully respond to external events.
Increased integration with LinkedIn: the features of Sales Navigator combined with those of Dynamics 365 Business Process Flows. Any business process, or sales scenario, can be created or improved thanks to LinkedIn insights on people and companies, which help Information Workers complete sales processes with positive results.
Customer Service: The latest version of Dynamics 365 for Customer Service enables global customer engagement across various touchpoints, while improving operational efficiency and organizational productivity.
Among the new features is the planning of services based on Universal Resource Scheduling.
Dynamics 365 for Field Service: more features and advanced services for every type of company. Work orders with more resources can be defined and planned. Customer expectations can be defined and met through SLA rights and functionality. Additionally, the advanced pricing feature now allows you to track costs accurately based on roles or other attributes.
Dynamics 365 for Project Service: functional and usability improvements requested by customers. New features include changes to approved times, expenses and newspaper lines; support for more units of time on a single price list; and possibility to configure a unit of time to estimate work on the project activities.
Connected Field Service: The Internet of Things (IoT) continues to enable a proactive and predictive service together with Microsoft Azure IoT Central evolving together to provide software as a service (SaaS) for connected devices. Based on the previous integration, bidirectional flows are now supported. For example, sending updates from Field Service via IoT Central to the device.
Microsoft has produced over 215 Power BI features in a series of monthly updates in response to enthusiastic user feedback on the proposed features.
Includes ways to alert users to edit images to answer a specific question about their data, even if they do not have edit access to the report, support for expanding / collapsing a pivot table on the matrix visual and continuous improvements to the usability of Questions and answers.
Adding composite models that enable data mashups through Direct Queries and imported data sources to increase data with additional insights. New navigation options, themability, more flexible branding and expression-based formatting enable authors to create rich Power BI content with ease.
